The Reading Thursday...

Well, the time for a monthly quote has come. The quote presented below is taken from a wonderful, no, from the AMAZING novel by one of my all time favorite authors - from Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury. If you ever feel lost in life, or are sad with no obvious reason, or simply want to feel truly alive again - read it! You won't regret a bit! :)

Mushrooms of the Forgotten Forest...

As I have promised, today I will tell you more about different kinds of mushrooms that can be encountered in the Forgotten Forest. Till this day I have met and explored four different species, but there are many-many more, I'm sure! :)
The first one is known as the Grumpy Mushroom or Fungus Grunnitus. Grumpy Mushrooms are one of biggest and tallest group of mushrooms in the depths of Forgotten Forest. Usually, they are red and orange, but sometimes you can find even a yellow one! Anyway, you will definitely first hear them, and only then - see them. They are always murmuring something! They are common inhabitants of the forest and are not rare at all.

Fungus Grunnitus
The second one is the Deadly Mushroom or Fungus Mortus. These pale blue fellows are wicked and very dangerous. Deadly Mushrooms are the biggest and tallest mushrooms in the depths of Forgotten Forest. They are very poisonous and you should definitely avoid meeting them alone. The only creatures that are not afraid of them are the Moss Fairies. Those angry little green beings like to rest on mushrooms' caps. I've met only one so far and observed him from a safe distance. Lucky me! :)

Fungus Mortus
The third one is known as the Crying Mushroom or Fungus ClamantisCrying Mushrooms also belong to the one of biggest and tallest group of mushrooms in the Forgotten Forest. You may think that this green guy above is smiling, but he only prepares to cry... Why are they sad no one knows, but they definitely like to cry loudly! And usually they cry for hours and hours and hours... Aarrrgh! :)

Fungus Clamantis
The fourth one is a very rare group of mushrooms. This strange fellow is known as the Lunar Mushroom or Fungus Lunam. Its pileus (cap) looks like the Moon's surface. They are not dangerous at all and are very beautiful. Their caps can be pale yellow, light purple, grey and even light turquoise. If you have met one (as I did) - it is a lucky sign! :)

Fungus Lunam
I have also seen some familiar tracks left in the forest... And I'm suspecting that at least two more types of mushroom-like creatures are present in the Forgotten Forest - Zombie Shroomplings and the Vampire Mushrooms. You can see some of their kind below. When I will encounter their relative in this forest - I will post their pictures too! :)

Erinle's Notebook...

Well, here I am again... and of course, it is not Friday, but already Saturday! But as usually life is what happens while you're planning something. Nevertheless, here is the promised story about the mysterious note from the first picture. During the second week of my expedition to the Forgotten Forest, Erinle wake up, went to her kitchen and found a strange piece of paper on her dinner table. She has never seen something like that before. So she took this message and came to my tent in the forest to show me that. Four strange unknown symbols... And even more mysterious letter R stamped onto the wax seal! What a riddle to solve! We decided to find someone, who will help us to decipher and read that note...:)

Four unknown symbols...

And the second picture shows a new drawing from Erinle's notebook. Mushrooms, mushrooms, mushrooms! :)

More mushrooms from the notebook! :)

My Work Table...

I was lost in drawings for the Erinle's notebook last week, so I didn't sculpt a lot. But still I've managed to create this strange couple - the Deadly Mushroom (also known as Fungus Mortus) and the Moss Fairy (nasty little creatures that are quite ill-mannered). They both are from the Forgotten Forest and they both are quite dangerous. Next Sunday I will write and post another report about my expedition in the Forgotten Forest and it will be dedicated to mushrooms.  And last Friday I totally forgot to write about the mysterious note, so I will do it this Friday ( I won't forget, I promise).

Fungus Mortus and the angry Moss Fairy...:)

By the way I decided to keep the FREE SHIPPING section in my store till the 31st of October. You still have a chance to visit it and get something unusual for yourself or your friends and loved ones! :)

Erinle's Notebook - Trees of the Forgotten Forest...

More drawing from Erinle's notebook! These are different trees from the Forgotten Forest, some of them are kind and not dangerous, but some, well, some are definitely ill-mannered and even evil! :) By the way, the map of the Forgotten Forest is almost ready, I will post some pictures of it somewhere the next week.

Trees, trees, trees...

The good...

The Bad...

...and the Sleepy! :)

More pics from Erinle's Notebook...

If you managed to decipher my horrible handwriting, then you know that I'm working on the map of the Forgotten Forest. And the first picture shows it! :)  The mysterious message from the second photo is a little secret right now and will be unveiled this Friday. The third picture contains my new drawings for the notebook (the last one - monster reading a book - is my favorite). This time I'm feeling quite serious about this project! :)

The map here is not finished yet, but soon will be! :)

A mysterious message...

More drawings! :)

All together! :)

My Work Table...

Well, here is my work table from the last week.  The second mixed media painting, called simply The Beehive (by the way, I have apiphobia) and another inhabitant of the Forgotten Forest.  He is a little stump and his name is Rudy! :)
Tomorrow I will post more pictures from Erinle's notebook (there is a progress, can you imagine?!), because today was a good day to draw! :)

Bzzz-Bzzz-Bzzz...:)

Rudy is quite shy and adorable! :)

Erinle's Notebook - Photos...

So here are the promised pictures. This time all the drawings will be made on separate pieces of different paper and then simply put in. There also will be some notes on the edges and tea/coffee stains...:)
By the way, I'm still learning how to write with a dip pen and ink. So don't judge too much my awful handwriting! :)

Erinle's Notebook...

Well, I missed last Friday, but simply because I haven't finished what I've started. It's raining all week and the mood is not right. But yesterday I managed to go for a walk and take some pictures, that can be useful in describing the Forgotten Forest. And today, I was even capable of writing two pages in the notebook and making some drawings. If there will be a sun tomorrow I will finally take some photos of it. But now, please enjoy some of my moody  pictures from the yesterday...:)

The autumnal beauty...

...and some wicked mushrooms...

...and even some fallen chestnuts! :)

My Work Table...

My work table this time is quite colourful! :) The mixed media artwork from the first picture is totally finished  and I called it - Up, up, up. The second work is still in progress, but you can already guess at least one word from the upcoming title - the beehive...:) And the last picture shows us another inhabitant from the Forgotten Forest, also not finished yet. I will finish them in two days, so stay tuned for more photos! :)

Up, up, up! :)

This one is not finished yet, so there is no title! :)

Another creature from the Forgotten Forest... in progress! :)
